Altenar to Power Wildz Group’s Entry into Finland’s Regulated Betting Market.

Sportsbook technology provider Altenar will support Wildz Group’s entry into Finland’s upcoming regulated online gambling market, extending a partnership established in 2024.

Wildz Group will partner with sportsbook provider Altenar to enter Finland’s regulated online gambling market. The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2024.

The Malta-based operator was the first company to publicly announce that it had secured a Finnish online gambling licence. The market is scheduled to open on 1 July 2027.

Under the agreement, Altenar will provide sportsbook technology, Nordic trading specialists and localised content. It will also offer regional expertise to help Wildz Group meet local market needs.

The partnership marks a new step in Wildz Group’s expansion beyond its casino operations. Moreover, it will help the company establish a presence in Finland’s emerging sports betting market.

Altenar to Support Wildz Group’s Finnish Market Entry

Wildz Group CEO Sam Brown highlighted Altenar’s role in developing the operator’s international sports betting business.

According to Brown, Altenar has played a key role in the success of its global sportsbook offering. He also expects a strong response from Finnish players when the market opens in July 2027.

Furthermore, Brown said Altenar’s flexible technology would help Wildz Group create a competitive betting experience for Finnish customers.

Dinos Stranomitis, Chief Operating Officer at Altenar, welcomed Finland’s move towards a competitive online gambling market. He described the reform as an important development for the industry.

Stranomitis also stressed the need for adaptable technology and local market knowledge. These factors help operators navigate new regulatory environments.

As a result, Altenar will use its sportsbook solutions to support Wildz Group’s expansion plans. The technology can adapt to different market conditions and business objectives.

Finland Prepares for Online Gambling Reform

Finland is replacing its state-controlled online gambling model with a licensing system for private operators. Consequently, licensed companies will have an opportunity to compete in the market.

The licence application process opened on 1 March 2026. Meanwhile, the government plans to launch the new system on 1 July 2027.

The reform will introduce greater competition to Finland’s online gambling sector. It will also allow licensed private operators to offer services under the new regulatory framework.

For Wildz Group, the partnership provides access to sportsbook technology and specialist expertise. These resources will help the company prepare for its Finnish market entry.

Meanwhile, Altenar continues to expand its role as a sportsbook technology provider. The company supports operators seeking to enter regulated markets and grow their international presence.

As Finland approaches the launch of its licensing system, both companies are preparing to pursue new opportunities. Their partnership highlights the growing importance of technology providers in newly regulated betting markets.
