Specifically, the regulator was concerned about Evolution games appearing on six websites operated by two entities without UK authorisation. These sites provided gambling content to consumers in the regulated UK market without proper licensing.
Evolution explained that the websites distributed its games in violation of the company’s terms, effectively reaching consumers via channels not approved for the UK market. The company further stated that the operators had actively circumvented restrictions already in place.
Martin Carlesund, CEO of Evolution, commented:
“At Evolution, we always want to do what is right, and it is not acceptable that six unlicensed sites offered Evolution content in the regulated UK market. We do not want traffic from unlicensed operators and will always move quickly to address any such situation. We welcome the conclusion of the review and remain focused on continuing to supply our world-leading games to licensed operators in the UK.” UK Gambling Commission Evolution
