Garron Whitesman

Garron Whitesman is a distinguished attorney in both international and South African gaming and gambling law, widely regarded as the go-to lawyer for gaming operators, gambling companies, and regulators across the African continent.

He has been ranked as a Global Market Leader in Gambling and Gaming by Chambers Global for 16 consecutive years, most recently in 2024; a testament to his dedication and expertise in the industry.

A prominent figure at industry conferences, Garron frequently leads panels and contributes thought leadership on critical issues shaping the sector.

With extensive experience as a non-executive director for online gambling companies, he also serves as a General Member of the International Masters of Gaming Law.

Admitted to the High Court of South Africa in 1996, Garron has earned multiple accolades, including the Global Law Experts Award for South African Gaming Law Firm of the Year (2010) and Corporate Intl Magazine’s Gaming Law Firm of the Year in South Africa for both 2011 and 2025.
