Brightstar Lottery has secured a fresh nine-year mandate to run Italy Lotto, reaffirming its long-established presence at the helm of one of the world’s most prominent fixed-odds number games. The newly signed deal, awarded after a competitive tender earlier this year, guarantees the company’s operational role through November 2034.
Brightstar Lottery PLC revealed that its subsidiary, LottoItalia S.r.l., has finalized an agreement to maintain stewardship of Italy Lotto. This ensures seamless continuity for a product the company and its predecessors have managed for over thirty years. The updated contract confirms operations extending to November 2034.
Back in July 2025, the license was granted to LottoItalia—a consortium led by Brightstar alongside Allwyn, Arianna 2001, and Novomatic Italia—by the Agenize delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, following a competitive bid. The newly executed agreement represents the final regulatory milestone needed for the group to move forward under the refreshed licensing framework.
