Yolo Group Secures UAE Gaming Licenses, Expanding Regional Presence

Yolo Group has recently secured gaming vendor licenses in the United Arab Emirates(UAE), marking a significant milestone for the company as it expands its footprint in the Middle Eastern market.

Specifically, Hub88 Holdings and Online Gaming Services—under which operate Live88 and Onetouch.io—have been granted permission by the UAE’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) to operate within the country’s emerging legal gaming industry. These licenses enable the subsidiaries to offer B2B gaming services, providing content and solutions tailored to the region’s regulated market.

This development places Yolo Group alongside a growing roster of international operators and suppliers that have received licenses in the UAE. The GCGRA’s establishment was prompted by Wynn Resorts’ major $2 billion casino resort project announced in 2022, which ultimately received its gaming license in October. Prior to that, The Game LLC became the first entity to secure a license, granting it the authority to operate the UAE Lottery, which launched in November. Aristocrat was the first supplier to be licensed in October 2024, followed by other industry leaders such as Novomatic, IGT, Scientific Games, and Light & Wonder. More recently, Pollard Banknote joined the list of licensed suppliers, signaling a growing confidence in the UAE’s regulated gaming environment.

Upon receiving the licenses, Yolo Group’s founder, Tim Heath, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “Obtaining these licences in the UAE is more than a regulatory achievement, it is a statement of intent. Yolo Group is committed to building the future of gaming on trust, transparency and world-class innovation. The UAE is setting the stage for what modern, regulated gaming should look like, and we are proud to be part of that journey.”

Beyond gaming, Yolo Group has a notable presence in the cryptocurrency sphere. The company has introduced MiCA-compliant crypto payment options at its land-based casino in Tallinn, Estonia—the Bombay Club. Yolo Group has also previously discussed the transformative potential of crypto in the gaming industry, notably in a past edition of Trafficology, emphasizing its vision of integrating digital currencies into mainstream gaming experiences.
