This decline can be attributed to a reduction in both its betting and gaming revenue, as its betting revenue will decrease by 17% to \u00a354.4m and its gaming revenue will witness a 5% drop to \u00a3102.8m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, its sportsbook wagers also experienced a decline of 10%, with stakes totaling \u00a3607m in Q3 2023 compared to \u00a3674.5m in Q3 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless, 888 anticipates a 17% increase, with active players projected to escalate to 1,186 in Q3 2023 as compared to 1,014 in Q3 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingafrika.com\/opinion-pieces\/retail-gaming-growth-in-tanzania-propelling-factors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Retail Gaming Growth in Tanzania: Stimulating Factors<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">888 saw the biggest decline in its gaming revenue for the year 2023, as its gaming division dropped by 11% to \u00a3302.4m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the betting department suffered an annual decline when compared to 2022, resulting in a decrease of 7%, which amounted to \u00a3190.6m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results come soon after <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingafrika.com\/global-gambling-news\/888-holdings-appoints-widerstrom-as-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">888 recruited Per Widerstr\u00f6m to be its new CEO<\/a>.
