The Finnish Police Board<\/a> has fined Betsson \u20ac2.5 million ($2.7 million) for promoting gambling in the nation. The corporation will be required to stop all marketing in mainland Finland as part of the sanction.<\/em><\/strong> Betsson Finland<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the fact that Betsson<\/a> lacks a license to conduct business in the Nordic nation, it was discovered that the operator “targeted Mainland Finland in its advertising on multiple channels for an extensive period.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Finnish Police claimed in a statement that although Betsson adjusted its marketing strategies following a hearing on the matter, it continued to target mainland Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Betsson has also been told to pay the fine and “refrain from publishing new sales promotion material targeting Mainland Finland on its gambling websites, remove all previously published sales promotion material from them, and refrain from marketing on other websites in the future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The punitive action will take effect on June 3, even though Betsson may opt to appeal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
