A football club based in Katwijk that competes in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of Dutch football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the KSA, an unidentified person impersonated the club\u2019s chairman during the application process and secured a lottery licence. The individual then used it to launch websites selling lottery tickets:<strong> loterij.quickboys.nl, loterijenqb.com, besteloterijqb.com, nieuweqb.com, bestenl.com, topnetherlands.com, newloterij.com, and topsloterij.com.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quick Boys said it had not applied for a lottery licence and was not affiliated with any of the websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A wider concern<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The KSA said the incident is part of a broader pattern. Scammers are increasingly using false details to exploit the names and licences of clubs that run legitimate lotteries, creating a new challenge for the regulator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingeuropa.com\/index.php\/2026\/06\/23\/dutch-gambling-association-sues-meta-over-illegal-promotions\/\">Dutch Gambling Association Sues Meta Over Escalating Illegal Betting Promotions<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authority said it had stopped a similar attempt in another case by carrying out additional checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cConsumers need to be able to trust a KSA license,\u201d<\/em> said Ella Seijsener, director of licensing at the KSA.<em> \u201cWe take the fact that a fraudster managed to deceive our application process very seriously.
