Dr. Misheck C. Pachipano Praises Zimbabwe’s Gaming Tax Regime as Investor-Friendly

Dr. Misheck C. Pachipano Chingozha, Chief Executive Officer of Zimbabwe Lotteries and Gaming Board, has commended the country’s gambling taxation ecosystem, citing feedback from operators already in the space.

“Our tax regime is quite favorable,” Dr. Misheck stated. “All those operators operating in our country have not raised any alarm in respect of our tax regime, which is a testament that all is well.”

In addition to his praise for the tax regime, Dr. Misheck called on industry stakeholders, including operators, regulators, and punters, to work together to effectively manage their operations and combat problem gambling. Zimbabwe Gaming Misheck Pachipano

“What we have been doing within our jurisdiction is to promote the culture of knowing when to stop when you get into a gambling entity,” he added. “And not spending more than what you cannot afford to lose.”

Dr. Misheck also highlighted the steps required to set up a gaming company in Zimbabwe. First, one must seek clearance from the Zidas (Zimbabwe Institute of Development Association), after which they can apply for certification by the gambling board.
