Shanta Segabon is a highly accomplished CRM strategist and digital sales leader, based in the vibrant City of Johannesburg, South Africa.

With over 15 years of experience in the dynamic field of customer relationship management and online marketing, Shanta has established herself as a prominent figure in driving customer lifecycle management and retention strategies that foster business growth and enhance customer loyalty.

Her academic journey commenced at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Systems Analysis from 1999 to 2002. This academic foundation equipped her with critical analytical skills and a robust understanding of technology, which have proved indispensable in her subsequent career. Shanta began her professional career as a CRM Specialist at Nashua Mobile from October 2005 to September 2008.

In this role, she was responsible for managing customer satisfaction and market research campaigns, directing marketing efforts, and developing loyalty programs tailored to optimize customer engagement. Her innovative approach led to the successful implementation of personalized customer communication packs and electronic billing systems, showcasing her ability to blend technology with customer needs.

In October 2008, Shanta Segabon joined the Fortune Lounge group of online casinos as the Head of Conversion. Over the course of 15 years, she played a pivotal role in managing new player conversions across multiple casino brands—encompassing casino, bingo, and poker platforms for diverse global markets. Her strategic oversight included leveraging various communication channels, optimizing email outreach, and implementing A/B split testing to enhance conversion rates.

Shanta’s leadership ensured that Fortune Lounge maintained a competitive edge by focusing on player user experience and operational efficiencies. In June 2023, she took her expertise to the next level by becoming a self-employed Senior iGaming Conversion and Retention Strategist. In this capacity, she leverages her extensive background to offer tailored solutions for online businesses seeking to amplify their conversion strategies and customer loyalty programs.
