Flutter Entertainment Hunts for a partner to Launch Female Focused Gaming Product

Flutter Entertainment has recently revealed its plans to launch a Gaming Innovators competition, aiming to enhance the gaming experience for the female gaming community across its UK&I brands.

In collaboration with the renowned Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power, and Betfair brands, Flutter Entertainment will join forces with a startup through the Alpha Hub programme.

Flutter expressed its intention to target female gamers in the UK and Ireland, as recent research indicated a promising opportunity within this demographic. They emphasize the need for product ideas that are specifically tailored to the unique play-style of female gamers in order to effectively engage them.

Furthermore, Flutter emphasized that the product should primarily focus on social and community gaming. They envision a digital entertainment platform that aims to help customers unwind, have fun, and relax.

While Flutter has provided this specific brief, they are also open to receiving ideas that may not fully align with it. They have introduced a “wildcard option” to allow startups to present concepts that can create safe and entertaining experiences for female customers, both in the present and future, even if they deviate from the initial brief.

The winning startup will have the opportunity to form a commercial partnership with Flutter, enabling them to expand their solution across the UK and Ireland. They will also be invited to participate in a demo day, where they can showcase their business to investors, technology experts, and Flutter leadership. Additionally, the winning startup will gain access to workshops and networking opportunities with senior Flutter leadership, as well as receive support from Alpha Hub Startup Support.

Steve Birch, Chief Commercial Officer at Sky Betting & Gaming, commented: “We see this as a really exciting gap in the market, and we’re looking forward to finding and partnering with innovative startups through the Alpha Hub program to seize this opportunity.”

The closing date for applicants is March 15, 2024. Flutter Entertainment Female Gaming Competition
